Vote for the Opener at J-Rock Explosion 2012
Announced today, Maverick DC Group is holding open voting for their latest event, DANGER CRUE x SHINJUKU LOFT 35th Anniversary PRESENTS J-ROCK EXPLOSION 2012 「華麗なる激情-Splendid Violent Emotion Vol.3」at Ebisu Liquid Room on 2012.7.28. So far, the bands performing consist of ALSDEAD, D.I.D, ギルガメッシュ (Girugamesh), カメレオ (Kameleo), ユナイト (Unite), and Maverick DC All Stars. The event in which the opener will perform is named 「華麗なる登龍門」(Karei naru Toryuumon). Tickets are ￥3500 and are already on sale.
Here’s where you come in! Twelve bands are in the running for the opening act, and Maverick has opened international voting to determine the winner. Web voting will take place form 6.20 to 7.15, and the winner will be announced on July 20th. The bands in the running are!:
トーマス (Thomas), Nemeth, ROUGE, PLUNKLOCK, NAINE, POPCORE, Re;zero, Awake, 少年記 (Shounenki), グレヱテル (Gretel), BLACK CAT, and Gakido.
Previews of each band’s music are listed on the event’s OHP (listed below,) as well as voting, so get your vote in! Only one vote is allowed per day. Who are you rooting for?

New single and oneman for ALSDEAD
ALSDEAD updated their website today with their new look to accompany their upcoming single and oneman live!

On August 5th, ALSDEAD will hold an oneman live called 「ALL SCARS REMAIN」 at Ikebukuro EDGE. Tickets are 3,000 yen and go on sale on May 12th.
Back in November the members announced that they would stop using their individual blogs in favour of a communal ‘band account’. Now, coinciding with the change in their costumes, each member’s blog has been revamped! The communal account will serve as a staff blog.

ex-DELUHI Aggy’s new band: Garson
Visulog is having a three day event next month. Amongst the artists scheduled to play is a new band called Garson, fronted by no other than ex-DELUHI’s bassist Aggy! He is accompanied by the three members of metal band GYZE.

CRUSH!3-90’s V-Rock best hit cover LOVE songs-
The third instalment on the CRUSH! series of 90’s visual rock cover songs has been announced! As the title suggests, this released will be centred around love songs. It comes out on June 27th and costs 3,150 yen.
Interesting to note is that one of the bands participating is comprised of members of different bands! It’s called CRASH 49 and the members are: ν［NEU］’s みつ (Mitsu) on vocal, ギルド (Guild)’s YOSHIHIRO and OZ’s Aki on guitar, NoGoD’s 華凛 (Karin) on bass and D’s HIROKI on drums.
